Our company was founded 24 years ago with a reception of foreign guests and the international promotion of the Pskov Region.

We strive to represent the tourism industry and do our part for the progress of our industry. That is exactly why since 2004 we are leading the ASTUR association, and in the last years we have been cooperating with the Administration’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tourism committee. As a tourism company, we are dedicated to contributing towards the shared development of our region’s hospitality industry.

But what really sets us apart from the others is the practical experience of organizing large-scale socio-cultural events. This includes the organization of theater group tours, various event-driven activities and unveiling ceremonies for monuments.

We also collaborate with re-enactment clubs on a yearly basis, so that the culturally educational tourism would continue to entertain guests of the city.

We immensely value the city’s guests. We’ll provide you with everything needed to capture good memories with care and understanding, even if we’ll have to show and tell in English, German, Finnish, or Estonian.
We value traditions. For 24 years we have been creating signature tours and excursions to suit any wishes and we’re maintaining quality. We collaborate with the regional administration to make trips to and from Pskov as convenient as possible and organize satisfying events for guests.

Our goal is to introduce guests of the Pskov region to the places where Russia begins!

I, Helena Samokhvalova, have been heading the Union of Tourism Industry Entrepreneurs of North-West Russia since 2004.
At “Astur” we have combined tour agencies, hotels and restaurants. Transport companies, advertising organizations and educational institutions cooperate with us.
There are more than 60 members in our associations, and for 18 years we have received at least 50 awards, and we will continue to defend the interests of small businesses.

Competition makes us faster, and partnership makes us better!

In the union, we coordinate businessmen, represent and protect their property interests, resolve disputes and conflicts, as well as provide legal help, exchange information and advice on legal and commercial issues. We cooperate with the Tourist Information Center of the Pskov region, local tour operators and hotels: local operators have created excursions for residents of Pskov who did not know what was in our region.
Our union acts as an intermediary between the tourism business and the regional government, and together we bring the problems of entrepreneurs in the region to the regional government. We invest in education: we cooperate with Pskov State University, Pskov State University College and the Academy of Tourism to help train new specialists.

What we do to improve Pskov’s tourism:

• forwarding proposals and initiatives to the administration;
• e.g. through effort of our own we have organized new routes to Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Anapa and Krasnodar;
• establishment of material funds: targeted and insurance development;
• assisting union participants in debt relief and other financial issues;
• representation of association participants’ legal interests;
• participation in publishment of books, articles and other literature;
• organization and funding of international collaborative programs;
• contact establishment and development of communication with other international organizations;
• investment in projects and industry.
